Character Redhook is a lovely seafood & steaks restaurant in an old drill hall and warehouse with a Dining Room that looks out over St John’s Gardens, a great view while you celebrate your special day.

Location and History

They’ve got a lovely 70 seat Dining Room in an old drill hall and warehouse that looks out on to St John’s Gardens. They can do private dining for up to 14 guests or you can (eat and) drink in their large bar and then relax in their raised lounge that can seat about 15. Redhook is part of The Rushmore Group which also owns Giant Robot around the corner on Clerkenwell Road, Milk & Honey in Soho and a few other places in London, New York, Melbourne, Ibiza and Chamonix.

Bookings

They take private bookings for all or parts of Redhook, which can be hired for drinks, dinner, parties and events for all group sizes big or small.

The Bar. Right by the windows as you come in, this space is a mix of bar counter and high table and the perfect space for up to 30 people for drinks and nibbles.
The Banquettes. This is a mixture of diner-style booth seating and standing and can accommodate up to 100 people, mostly standing and nibbling - so good for mingling.

The Lounge. A cosy sofa spot, which is part of the main dining room and good for 10-20 friends.
The Dining Room. The Dining Room seats 70 guests in its usual lay out but up to 110 with some move-arounds. For example, they can seat guests at [14 x 8 seater round tables] or at 3 x 25 and 2 x 15 seater banquet style tables]. If you tell us what your ideal seating arrangement is, they can try and sort something out for you.
The Whole Venue. They occasionally consider whole venue hires and Redhook is ideal for dinner and/or drinks parties for 150-250 guests.
