Location and History
Historic Fawsley Hall, surrounded by 2000 acres of rolling Northamptonshire parkland, is a location that promises to encapsulate the quintessential English country wedding, featuring a wealth of heritage including the hall to which Queen Elizabeth I was once welcomed, and extensive grounds landscaped by Capability Brown in the 1760s.
Interior and Spaces for Hire
With huge amounts of flexibility, wedding couples can choose from a romantic breakfast for two or afternoon tea for 20 to dinner and dancing for up to 150 guests. The beautiful Tudor Manor House is licensed for wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships which take place on an exclusive basis in the Salvin Suites overlooking the Tudor knot garden, Church of St Mary the Virgin and lakes; the Great hall where Queen Elizabeth 1st was welcomed as a guest makes a wonderful area for champagne receptions for couples wishing to have exclusive use of the house.
Alternatively the Georgian Knightly Court sits adjacent to the Tudor House accommodating up to 120 guests. Recently rebuilt and elegantly furnished, this stunning suite of rooms can be adapted for many an occasion, the Valentine suite ideal for the civil ceremony and later buffet and dancing, the private screening room ideal for the post wedding video or keeping the younger ones happy. With its own private kitchen, bar and function rooms plus bedrooms above it is a completely self contained area, suited to every style of wedding request, the outdoor seating over looks the front lawns and lakes to the left of Knightly Court.
There are 58 Tudor, Georgian, Victorian and classically modern rooms created in the Georgian wings, all the rooms and suites each reflecting a period of opulence and style.
Whether your wedding breakfast is an informal lunch or a sumptuous dinner, Fawsley Hall’s talented chefs are on hand to deliver exquisite cuisine and fine dining experience in the private dining rooms.
And the experience does not have to stop there, the wedding guests can relax and enjoy some pre or post-wedding pampering including hair and make up at the Grayshott Studio Spa with its comprehensive range of facilities, contemporary treatments and natural therapies. 6 treatment rooms and 6 bedrooms above plus the private garden have made this a really popular spot for the pre-wedding party and girls away.
