Character: Traditional yet modern Grade I listed Georgian Villa.

Funky Features: Stunning views of Richmond Park, designed for the 2nd Earl of Bessborough in the early 1760s by Sir William Chambers, a choice of six beautiful rooms for civil ceremonies, domed ceilings, arches and pillars, 250 en-suite bedrooms, state-of-the-art lecture theatres, vast landscaped grounds.

Location and History

Grade I listed Parkstead House has been beautifully restored to accommodate events.  This stunning Georgian villa was designed for the 2nd Earl of Bessborough in the early 1760s by Sir William Chambers, who was also the architect for Somerset House and the Pagoda at Kew Gardens.  The Earl commissioned Chambers to design a Palladian style villa to display his antique sculpture collection and entertain guests away from the hustle and bustle of central London.

Parkstead House is situated just off the A306, Roehampton Lane between the A3 and the A205 South Circular (Upper Richmond Road). From Barnes Mainline Station (connects with trains from Clapham Junction, Waterloo, Staines, Windsor or trains coming into Waterloo from the South West). Parkstead House is approximately 20 minutes walk away or a short bus ride on either bus No 72 (towards Roehampton) or bus No 265 (towards Tolworth).
