Location and History
Kew Bridge Steam Museum is within walking distance from Kew Bridge Rail and Gunnersbury tube stations. It is a restored early Victorian water pumping station with the original steam powered pumps still in working order. Built in the 19th century to supply London with water, the museum is recognised as the most important historic site of the water supply industry in Britain.
Interior and Spaces for Hire
Your event can start with the reception in the 90” engine house, a cathedral of steam with Grand Junction engine, the world’s largest cornish beam engine, working quietly in the background. The Steam Hall is a flexible space that can be for presentations, dining and dancing whilst the majestic steam engines work noiselessly around you. The Babcock Room offers a quiet setting for meetings.
