Location and History
Walcot Hall is formerly the residence of Lord Clive of India and is set in splendour within an historic Shropshire estate. His son, the Earl of Powis, built a magnificent free-standing ballroom within the grounds with high ornate ceilings, chandeliers, large fireplaces and polished wooden floors. A perfect venue for a wedding reception and can be hired for an extended 48 hour period for £5,500
Interior and Spaces for Hire
The favourite room for civil marriages is the Entrance Hall of Walcot Hall itself. Brides may enter via a sweeping staircase into an impressive room with marble pillars, gold inlaid ceilings and stunning views over the lake. From here guests proceed through a walled courtyard, perfect for reception drinks and into the Ballroom for a wedding breakfast. For smaller, intimate weddings the Anteroom or a private dining room can be hired.
