Sunday 7 February 2010  |  Published in Funky Wedding News Walcot Hall Offers A Grand, Country House Setting Within Rural Shropshire

Walcot Hall is the newest edition to the site and offers a grand, country house setting within rural Shropshire. This Georgian mansion, formerly residence to Lord Clove of India, offers a wealth of character and individuality to couples wishing to retreat from the commercialism of the city. Surrounded by splendour, your guests would arrive via a private drive crossing over the mile-long lake and have 30 acres of gardens to enjoy with features such as an Arboretum, decorative pools, fountain and a croquet lawn, to mention but a few.

The family and staff who reside at Walcot Hall do not believe weddings should come as a package.  In the first instance, you are offered the rare luxury of time; - a magnificent Ballroom is available for hosting receptions and can be hired for the whole weekend.  Secondly you may have exclusive use of the venue, including a civil ceremony in the Main Hall and can choose to invite 65 guests to stay within our self-catering apartments.  And thirdly there is no designated supplier list or corkage charged on alcohol, giving you the freedom of choice to create a wedding that suits you and your budget perfectly.

Does this all sound to good to be true? - it isn’t.  To arrange a viewing please contact Maria Sawyer, Wedding Coordinator, on 01588 680579 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).  There are still some dates available for 2010.
